My sketchbook

My sketchbook is one of those simple ring types you can pick up from any art supply store. White paper. No grid lines to cage my venturesome handwriting and doodling. I fill pages to the margins with to do lists, sketches, and ideas.

Creative Tips

There are millions of tips out there on how to make art, what products to use, which easel to buy, where to go and how to find inspiration. What I want to share is what works for me – and to encourage you to look both outward and inward to find your own inspiration. 

In situ

Where does art belong? What’s compelling? People might tell you otherwise, but it’s up to you to decide what you surround yourself with. You know: what moves you, what motivates you, what puts you at ease, makes you think, smile or recharge. All are important. Of course a little imagination also helps.

Hi, I’m Lisa. Previously balancing a career in engineering with an art gig on the side, I flipped them and became a full-time artist and freelance consultant in 2010. When I’m not spending time with my family, I love creating, experimenting and discovering!
